With only 3 weeks to go, seed packing is still going strong! We have had an incredible outpouring of support and donations from so many seed companies; we are struggling to keep our donors page updated.

A huge thank you to our generous Quebec-based donors, including:

Our volunteers!
Our volunteers are incredible, and we can use more!
With the help and support of PSA we have been coming together at the Aylmer Community House a couple of times a week to drink tea, clean, sort and package seeds. We even engaged the help of our recent workshop participants, and a few of them enjoyed it so much they’re now coming out to help us on a weekly basis.
If this sounds like something you would like to do but you’re not part of our Pollinate / Polliniser Aylmer FB group, we are also using email for this event!
Email us at seedysaturdayaylmer@gmail.com and we can let you know our packing schedule.

🌱Got seeds?🌱
we would Looooove them!!! Reach out seedysaturdayaylmer@gmail.com if you would like our volunteers to pack them, or simply bring them labeled on the day.

We accept any non-GMO, non-invasive seeds for vegetables, edible, native, medicinal or companion plants.
Other things we need:
✳️Gardening book donations (we are envisioning a gardening book swap)
✳️Old tablecloths (stained are probably ok just not too stained)
✳️Empty plastic bottles (2L or bigger)
✳️Strawberry / grape / plum containers

✳️ Dons de livres de jardinage (nous organisons un troc de livres !)
✳️ Bouteilles de plastique vides (2L ou plus)
✳️ Contenants de fraises, raisins ou prunes (en plastique transparent)
🥫Food Bank Donations🥫
Please consider that while many of us dream of spring and garden space and seedlings that will (hopefully) become a food source later in the summer, many people in our community suffer from hunger, and think far more immediately of how they’re going to put food on the table tomorrow, and the day after that.
We ask that anyone attending the event who is able to do so please bring along some non-perishable food items for the food bank.

And as you grow these seeds that our community has come together to distribute, think about growing a few extra, and sharing your excess back into the community.
Think about saving seeds from the food you grow with these seeds, and sharing them back with the community next year.

Be that little change. Let’s see what happens.

Help us spread the word. Share this post with people who might care. Tag a friend. Bring a friend. Bonus points if they are from Aylmer.
